Privacy Policy
This site is a scholarly archive. It sells nothing, has no reader accounts, and collects as little as it can.
What is collected
Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which papers are read. This sets cookies in your browser and sends Google information about your visit, including your IP address, the pages you open, and general details of your device and browser. It is used to understand readership, not to identify you.
Server and security logs. The web host and Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site, keep standard request logs covering IP addresses, times and the pages requested. These exist to serve pages and to block abuse.
What you send. If you write to the address on the contact page, your message and address are held in ordinary email, and used only to reply.
What is not collected
There are no reader accounts and no newsletter. Nothing here is sold, rented or shared with advertisers. No payment details are taken on this site; where a book links to a bookshop, the purchase happens on that other site under its own policy.
Cookies
Cookies are set by Google Analytics, and by Cloudflare and the site’s caching for security and performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work for reading.
Your choices
You may ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use, by writing to the address on the contact page. Browser settings and Google’s own controls let you opt out of analytics.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it.
